They were thoughtul about the aesthetic decisions; their curves and margins were tidy.  Moreover, this job was quoted in '25 before Trump's war increased all input prices (especially oil).  Neverthless, Hunziker honored the pre-war quote with no fuss.  Further, the owner was on site throughout to ensure a great job.  All around, we are very satisfied with the experience.

They did a phenomenal job on our driveway last summer. Patient and understanding with removing some old errant tree roots left behind. It drains perfectly. I was amazed they knocked it out in one day.

My asphalt has a lot of cracks. Do I need to repair or fully replace it?

It depends on how widespread the cracking is and whether the base underneath is still sound. Surface-level cracks and isolated damage can often be repaired effectively. If the base has failed or the pavement is badly deteriorated across a large area, resurfacing or replacement may be more cost-effective long-term. We'll give you a straight answer after seeing it.

What's the difference between crack filling and full-depth patching?

Crack filling addresses surface-level separations in the pavement before they worsen. Full-depth patching goes further — we cut out the damaged section down to the base, recompact the subbase, and repave from the bottom up. It's the right call when damage has compromised the structural layer beneath the surface.

How soon should I address a pothole in my parking lot?

As soon as possible. Potholes collect water, which accelerates surrounding pavement damage and creates real liability concerns for property owners. The longer a pothole sits, the larger the repair area tends to become. We respond quickly to commercial repair calls throughout the Capital Region.
